Osaka, Kyoto and Kobe have been selected as global hub cities in the national government’s strategy for world-class start-up hubs in 2020, and universities, companies and local governments are working together to form an ecosystem. The Kansai region is preparing to host the Osaka Kansai Expo in 2025, and Osaka City has been designated as a Super City-type Special National Strategic Zone, creating an environment to realise a future society ahead of the rest of the world. In order to produce businesses from Kansai that will spread to the world, the project “Launch” is launched to envision a future society and create start-ups that will be active on a global scale!
